Minimum Qualifications
 Minimum six (6) months of experience teaching grade 3
 Minimum six (6) months of experience in online teaching
 Comprehensive knowledge of common core standards
 Proficient in MS Powerpoint, Word, and Skype/Zoom
 Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
 Should be able to clear the required background check(s)
 Need to commit at least 10 hours a week to the program
Preferred Qualifications
 Native English speaker from the US
 Knowledge of state standards is a plus
 Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
You will be required to
Create the lesson plan and take online math courses for grade 3 students on one or more of the following courses:

Place Value & Number Sense
At the end of the course, children should be able to
 Read and Write numbers up to 5 digits
 Use place value understanding to compare and order numbers up to 5 digits
 Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100

Multiplication
At the end of the course, children should be able to
 Understand equal groups and arrays
 Represent multiplication with equal groups and arrays
 Use repeated addition and skip counting to find the product
 Develop fluency with multiplication facts with the help of (but not limited to) models, multiplication charts and patterns
 Represent multiplication on number lines to find the product
 Multiply numbers up to 100 by 0 and 1
 Understand and use properties of multiplication including commutative, distributive, and associative properties
 Write an equation for a multiplication situation

Division
At the end of the course, children should be able to
 Understand and represent division using equal groups and arrays
 Divide using equal groups and arrays
 Relate multiplication and division
 Represent division on number lines to find the unknown in a division sentence
 Recall and use division facts within 100
 Write an equation for a multiplication situation

Fractions
At the end of the course, children should be able to
 Understand, identify, and represent fractions using models
 Understand and write whole numbers as fractions
 Recognize and generate simple equivalent fractions using models
 Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator with and without models
 Understand, identify, and represent fractions on a number line

Geometry
At the end of the course, children should be able to
 Identify and name the types of quadrilaterals by their attributes
 Draw different types of quadrilaterals
 Identify halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths
 Partition shapes into parts with equal areas and express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole
 Find the area of a shape by counting unit squares using different units
 Find the area of a rectangle by multiplying the side lengths
 Understand and apply distributive and commutative properties using the area model
 Understand that area is additive and use this concept to find the areas of rectilinear shapes
 Find the perimeter of regular and irregular shapes by adding the side lengths
 Find the perimeter of shapes with the missing side lengths
 Find the missing side lengths given the perimeter of a shape
You will be required to teach a group of 4 kids for each of the courses. You would have to design the course along with the number of classes required and defining the objective of each class. Each class duration would be 45 mins to 1 hour. They have to be delivered following the Common Core standards or the US state standards.
The lesson plan created by you will have to be approved by SplashLearn. SplashLearn will pay for the approved lesson plan (amount will be based on the quality of the content) and will retain the ownership of the content. SplashLearn can choose to run the same content through other teachers as well.
