About the Role

The Digital Curriculum department builds curriculum-aligned games and other digital content for our core SplashLearn learning and practise product. Our digital curriculum is cross-platform, intuitive, engaging and delivers verifiable learning outcomes. 

We are looking for an exceptional technologist to join our Technology team and lead this department. The leader will define the platform strategy for our curriculum platform and lead efforts towards scaling it for higher grades, including additional subjects, as well as making them more engaging and effective.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of highly skilled senior engineers by providing technical management, guidance, coaching, best practices and principles
  • Lead the group to build sophisticated products using cutting edge technology stack. 
  • Actively engage with all the people in the team, manage their performance and plan their careers.
  • Responsible for resource planning, execution, and quality of the software delivered by the group.
  • Work closely with various business stakeholders like Game Design team, Academic team, Product Management Team, Marketing and other Engineering teams to drive the execution of multiple business strategies and technologies

Who should apply:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience.
  • Deep understanding in one (preferably two) or more of programming languages - Java , Go, JavaScript, Python, Node, C++, C#
  • Strong hands-on experience in one (preferably two) or more of game engines - Cocos, Unity, Phaser
  • Experience and knowledge of delivering products with low/no touch support along with SRE principles.
  • Experience leading a team of highly skilled engineers.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and engagements concurrently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in EdTech is a bonus.
  • Experience in javascript frameworks used in education (e.g., processing) is a bonus.
